I am unsure why it is but it seems that the Vintage Gretsch Bop sets
end up in the weirdest places and situations throughout their life time.
This entire set was spray painted black and incorporated into a
monsterous 18 piece black Ludwig/MUTT set. See my other auctions
from more of the drums from the set. Even the heads tension rods and lugs
were all painted right on the stands! Needless to say while this
was a great find it also was a very intensive restoration

As you can see the Chrome is Exceptional, this set has over $1000 invested in the chrome looking this fine!
The Walberg Rail mount for example has been completely stripped, buffed prepped, copper plated and then triple chrome
plated at a cost of over $125 to achieve this artisan level of plating quality on this one component.
No slivers of chrome in your hand before the gig, no slippage and no unsighly pitting or finish rash.
The finish In New Delmar material, the smae quality product used by the drum industry for decades
This is a fully adhered finish not a tape on finish
